A Profession in Consulting..More about Execution and less about plain Strategy!

Many would desire to be 'A Consultant' but very few can really be a Good one-in the words of my Boss.Yes,Consulting as a profession today is less about Strategy and as the famous Indian born world renowned Consultant Ramcharan has stated- is today more about executing the Strategy that you advocate.Today the companies that seek out Consultants no more want you to give them the solution and walk out,but actually implement the solution to its closure.They want to see "real" results,rather than results proclaimed in "black and white".So its no wonder that the Indian IT companies are trying to move towards the higher end of the spectrum by throwing in Consulting along with their IT services as a End-to-end solutions package and the Core strategy firms are including services in their offering.

So finally to conclude ,in the words of Scott Allen “Sometimes it takes an expert to point out the obvious.”
